Chair Cover Elegance will be moving locations, but staying downtown in Logan

The business provides table linens, chair covers, table overlays and more for that special day. They are hired for between 500-800 weddings a year, according to Brian Nelson, one of the business owners.

LOGAN — By the time the wedding season is back in full swing again, or as much as it can be with the current pandemic, Chair Cover Elegance and Weathertite Roofing will have a new home in Logan.

But the businesses aren't moving too far. In fact, they are moving just a couple buildings to the west from inside the SWI Windows — Doors & More, owned by Hank Gruver, to next door to the Iowa State University Extension & Outreach office.

The reason for the move is because the Nelsons, Brian and his wife Jean as well as his mother Bev who own Chair Cover Elegance, wanted to expand and Brian wanted to move his roofing company office into the same building.

“But we also wanted to own a building to have the chair cover business in,” Nelson added.

Chair Cover Elegance was started by Brian, Bev and Jean about 20 years ago in Le Mars. Today, they have a location in Le Mars (which is primarily used to launder the linens) as well as in Logan.

The company does about 500-800 weddings a year, according to Brian.
