JoJo's Kitchen doing well so far

Soloman is now the owner of two businesses, an in-home daycare in Logan and Jojo's Kitchen in Woodbine.

WOODBINE — A couple years ago, she started an in-home daycare in Logan with her daughter.

Now she is branching out into the world of food with a new place called JoJo’s Kitchen in downtown Woodbine.

May 22 was the soft opening. Christy Jo Soloman, of Logan, officially opened the doors May 29. And so far, business has been good, especially for breakfast time.

“Actually it’s been going really well because breakfast usually sells out,” said Soloman.

Limited breakfast options in town and her family telling her for many years to open a breakfast place because of that were a couple reasons why Christy decided to open the Kitchen.

“My family has been telling me to start a restaurant for like 20 years,” she commented, adding she decided to just go for it and see how things went.

That and Nikki Davis, owner of Building Grounds & Heavy Metal Renaissance in downtown Woodbine alongside her husband Jefferson, knew the building was for sale. It is located two doors down from the Randy Pryor Real Estate & Auction Co. building.
