Lo-Ma rallies past Woodbine in nonconference volleyball

The Logan-Magnolia girls rallied from a 2-1 deficit in games to pull off a triumph in five over Woodbine in nonconference volleyball action on Tuesday night at Woodbine.

Lo-Ma won the opening set, 25-22, but Woodbine came back with victories in sets two (25-22) and three (25-13) to take a 2-1 advantage.

Lo-Ma then won game four (25-21), forcing a fifth that the Panthers wound up taking 15-10 for the match win.

The victory improved Lo-Ma to 4-5 overall in matches and 11-14 in games played on the year.

Tuesday’s match was the first of the 2022 season for Woodbine.

Kattie Troxel led all Lo-Ma hitters with 11 kills. Macanna Guritz added 10 kills.

Cara Ohl also had seven kills and five ace serves for the Panthers.

For Woodbine, Addison Murdock led all Tiger servers by going 32-of-38 with six aces.

Charlie Pryor was 17-of-19. Addison Erickson was 15-of-17 with one ace and Nicole Hoefer was 13-of-15 as well.

Charlie Pryor led the Tigers at the net with 15 kills in spiking. Danyelle Steinkuehler added 10 kills.

Erickson tallied six kills, followed by Hoefer with five and Murdock with three.

Murdock had a team-high 17 assists in the setting department. Erickson added 13 assists.

Erickson led Woodbine with 17 digs. Jersey Gray had 13 digs. Murdock and Hoefer each finished with 11, while Charlie Pryor had 10.

Katy Pryor had solo blocks for Woodbine in the defeat. Hoefer had one solo block and one block assist.
