Woodbine girls steamroll West Harrison by 63

The Woodbine girls put 55 points on the scoreboard in the first half on Friday night, as the Tigers rolled to an 85-22 Rolling Valley Conference victory over West Harrison at Woodbine.

The win moved Woodbine to 8-1 overall on the season.

Ryan Coenen’s Tiger club got its offense going early on with a 27-7 first-quarter lead. A 28-5 scoring advantage in the second put the hosts up 55-12 at halftime.

Woodbine then led 73-19 after three quarters of play.

Addison Erickson paced Woodbine with 25 points, adding five assists and two steals.

Charlie Pryor followed with 18 points, four steals, three assists and two rebounds.

Both Erickson and Pryor sank two, three-point baskets.

Nicole Hoefer chipped in with nine points, four steals, three assists and two boards.

Whitney Kuhlman contributed eight points, eight boards, three steals, two assists and one shot block.

Nicole Sherer also had eight points, four boards, four assists and three steals.

Amanda Newton tallied eight points, four boards and four steals.

Addison Murdock finished with three points, three assists, two boards and two steals.

Leena James, Danyelle Steinkuehler and Kortney O’Day all had two points for the Tigers.

Steinkuehler also had three boards and two steals for the winners.
