LOGAN — A plan has now been laid out for how Logan Community Center events where alcohol is served will be covered and the Logan Police Department’s involvement in the process.

Logan City Council members listened to the plan, explained by Mayor McDonald, at the first meeting of the month, December 7.

First, McDonald said the hourly rate will be raised from $30 an hour to $35 an hour for the person who covers the event. (This was a suggestion made at a previous meeting by Logan Police Chief Zach Cavalier.)

A three-step plan was put in place, too.

McDonald explained that Cavalier will continue to be involved in helping find someone to cover the event. The City currently has a list of individuals compiled and available.

Cavalier will reach out to these individuals and find someone who is available and willing to cover the event. That is called “Plan A.”
